Back to the Stands
It's been a long time since I have built any stands. I think it was 2018 I built one for myself and have not made any since. I decided to make Shohin stands since I can't find any nice ones or the right size on the net. I can find stands out of China, but they tend to be rather small.
These are some tops made of black walnut and cherry.
Some of my tools. Most of them are on stands with castors and double work tops that swivel so I can get to a certain tool by pulling a pin and swiveling the tool up to work.
My working drawings for the cat hind legs leg.
I wish I had a dollar back for all the clamps I have.
A top completed and sanded.
Many tops completed.
Building the walnut tops now.
All tops done and now on to assembly and making more legs.
I had to stop work because I was looking for one router bit for like an hour. I drilled out this piece of scrap hardwood and put the bits in it. I have to make another one tomorrow since this one is full and I have several more bits in the drawer, just received seven new ones from Amazon and I have four bits with 1/2" shanks.
This top is drilled for all the dowels that will make up the ladder sides.
Different ideas on legs. Trying things on these prototypes, to get an idea of how well they are received. If something looks stupid tell me in a comment.
Here is an interesting stand. I have about six sets of these legs traced and ready to be cut out, but will wait for feed back.
This is the eight I have completed so far. All these stands will be for sale and can be purchased via PayPal. Drop me a note at alkeppler007@gmail.com
I added an edit to this post of most of the table finished now. So far I have 14 finished and am having headaches with finishes. Oil is just not drying fast enough to build and sell in a decent amount of time. I'll get there, bare with me
